Carol Wontowski

Graduating from a technical photography school, Carol began her career as a commercial photographer, but soon found she enjoyed the creativity and spontaneity of the images she created outside the commercial studio. Her photographic interests soon evolved and she pursued freelance work while taking on positions in various fields.

Wanting to explore her other interests, Carol made a career change. Earning her degree in Exercise Physiology, she has worked in cardiology and rehabilitation and currently works part-time in health and wellness.

Since 2006, and being treated for physical trauma, she has since returned to her creative roots. With new eyes and a rekindled passion, she states, “I can totally immerse myself in the making of an image. Hours elapse, but seem like minutes. It is in this image making that I find fulfillment.”

Carol is a member of the Attleboro Arts Museum and the Cambridge Art Association in MA. She has exhibited in New York, throughout New England and is represented in galleries in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Her work is available at the Canterbury Shaker Village Museum Gift Shop and in other fine gift shops in southeast New England.
